Since 2011 we’ve done one thing well: boards that water can’t get into. Built on our own closed-cell formula — not coated, not treated. Waterproof all the way through.
Our founder, Paul Huggins, ran a kitchen and bathroom business for years. Then he lost the use of his legs. For four years he was the one in the wheelchair, learning to walk again.

— a nurse, the first time she wheeled him into the wet roomPaul knew what water does to a normal board. So he looked for one that could live in a wet room. He called supplier after supplier. They all said the same thing: it doesn’t exist.
If no one made it, he would. So he built his own board — waterproof all the way through. That board became Sealwise: the thing he couldn’t buy anywhere.
Fifteen years on, water has never once got in — not one callback since 2011. Today Sealwise is used in hospitals, clinics and projects across the UK, Europe, the US and Africa, run and supplied from Somerset. Still solving the problem Paul found in that wet room.
Not water-resistant. Not moisture-rated. Nothing gets in — not at a cut edge, not at a drilled hole. If a claim needs a footnote, we don’t make it.
We film our boards underwater for weeks. We’ll send you one — drill it, fill it with water, leave it a month. The board makes the case.
Made using recycled material, and fully recyclable. Decades in use, then taken back free to become the next board. Never landfill.
Sealwise is a family business, run from Rooksbridge in Somerset. It’s where we design our boards, where we back them, and where we’ll always be based. Every board is made to our own formula, and at the end of its life it comes back to us to be recycled.
